अभी हाल में भारतीय वैज्ञानिको ने मखाना (लावा )के चूर्ण (Powder) के पानी में आसानी से नहीं डूबने (उत्प्लवनशील होने ) के गुण का उपयोग एक <b>Non-effervescent floating matrix table</b>t बनाने में किया है जिसकी मदद से मनुष्य के शारीर के भीतर दवा के उचित ढंग से प्रभावी निस्तरण करना संभव हुआ है। जीतेन्द्र सिह नैगी के नेतृत्व में वैज्ञानिको का यह शोधपपत्र <b>Asian Journal of Pharmaceutics</b> में प्रकाशित हुआ है।<br />

कोरिया के <b>Kyunynam</b> विश्व में किये गए एक अध्ययन में अल्जीमर एवं पार्किन्सन सदृश जन्य रोगो में मखाने के करे विजावरण <b>(Euryale shell/seed coat)</b> से भारतीये वैज्ञानिको ने एक <b>Novel Smart Mucoadhesive Biopolymer</b> बनाया है जिसका उपयोग मानव के शरीर में दवाओं के समुचित निसतरन Drug delivery में किया जा सकेगा। मखाना के Seed coat से सम्बन्धित एक अन्य शोध में चीन के <b>Hefei University of Technology </b>एवं<b> Chuzhou University</b> के वैज्ञानिको ने यह पता लगाया है की इसमे Triterpenoid सदृश के जैव रसायनो की अधिकता होती है जो ग्लूकोज के चयापचय को नियत्रिन्त करने में सहायक होती है। इसका निष्कर्ष Extract यकृत Liver एवं प्लीहा Spleen के बढ़े भार को नियंत्रित करता है। Seed coat में उपस्थित Hypoglycaemic गुणों से संबद्ध यह शोधपत्र Molecules नामक जर्नल में प्रकाशित हुआ है। एक अन्य शोध में चीनी वैज्ञानिको ने मखाना के Seed Shell extract को मांस के संग्रहण के दौरान उसमे <b>Lipid oxidation</b> को रोकने में गुणकारी पाया है।<br />

भारत में मखाना का उपयोग एक हवन-सामग्री के रूप में भी होता आया है । आमतौर पर लावे का प्रयोग इस हेतु होता है । हाल में लखनऊ स्थित राष्ट्रीय वनस्पति अनुसन्धान के संस्थान के<b> Division of Plant – Microbe Interactions </b>के वैज्ञानिकों ने मखाने के सुखे पौधों को अपने प्रयोग में सम्मिलित किया और परिणाम में यह पाया की इससे वायुमण्डल में उपस्थित जीवाणुओ की सघनता में काफी कमी आयी । यह शोध निष्कर्ष <b>Medicinal Smoke Reduces Airborne Bacteria</b> नाम से प्रतिष्ठित अंतराष्ट्रीय शोधपत्रिका <b>Journal of Ethnopharmacology</b> में छपा है ।<br />

As for the gorgon nut, heat oil in a pan, add the seeds, shallow fry over medium heat until they puff up. Remove and reserve in a pan of water until ready to cook.</div>

Wash and soak the rice for 10 mins. Drain the water and keep it aside. Heat the kada /pan. Add 3 teaspoon of oil. Add
garlic and fry till it is slight brown color. Add onion and fry till
transparent. Add tomatoes,Green chillies and ginger. Fry till Tomatoes are
mushy. Add cumin powder, gram masala, turmeric powder. Fry till nice aroma comes
out. Add soaked Cashew and Gorgon nut. Switch it off. Let
it cool down. Grind to smooth paste.</span></div>

crackle. Add grinded paste, Chilli powder and salt. Fry for 2 mins. Add butter
milk and water. Let it boil. Add rice and mix well. Cook it with lid on. When
it is 3/4 cooked add dry roasted <span style="font-family: Helvetica, sans-serif;">Gorgon nut</span> and mix well. Cook completely. Switch
